The Wellsworth and Suddery Railway was one of the three railways that became the North Western Railway. After it was annexed to the NWR, it became Edward's Branch Line. It is recorded in The Island of Sodor: Its People, History and Railways that it had some tank engines of its own, but no further details were given.
